Safe at Rest
THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
Safe at Rest is about the beautiful freedom of childlike trust.
The little girl rests completely at ease, surrounded by an abundant world of color, flowers, texture, and movement. Her eyes are closed, one arm rests behind her head, and the other reaches outward. There is no fear in her posture. She is simply safe.
She represents the child within us who can trust without needing to understand everything—who can rest even when life is busy, complicated, or uncertain because she knows she is held and cared for.
Safe at Rest is a reminder that faith does not always mean having the answers. Sometimes it means becoming like a child again—releasing what we cannot control and resting in the love of God.
