Watercolor Gatherings
Joyful watercolor experiences for parties, events, and gatherings. With gentle guidance and an easygoing pace, guests create something beautiful while enjoying a relaxed, creative atmosphere together.
Service Rate: $250 for up to 10 guests (2-hour experience), plus $15 per additional guest.
Includes setup, materials, and guided instruction. Guests enjoy a relaxed watercolor experience with time to create, connect, and take home something beautiful.
Private Events
A non-refundable retainer of $75 is required to secure your event date and time. Your date is not held until the retainer has been received. The retainer is applied toward the total cost of your event.
The remaining balance is due one week prior to the event.
Corporate & Organization Events
A non-refundable retainer of $75 is required to secure your event date and time. Your date is not held until the retainer has been received. The retainer is applied toward the total cost of your event.
The remaining balance may be paid after the event. An invoice will be provided, and payment is expected within an agreed-upon timeframe.
Nonprofit & Community Events
Joy and Light Event Arts supports community organizations and nonprofits throughout the year. A limited number of pro bono events are scheduled annually and are filled in advance.
At this time, standard event rates apply for nonprofit and community bookings.
Organizations are welcome to seek sponsorship or donor support to cover the cost of services. This is often a great way to provide a high-quality experience for your guests while partnering with individuals or businesses who want to contribute.

Lori Vafiades is a professional artist and illustrator with over 40 years of experience working in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. Her illustration work has reached a wide audience, with over 14,000 books in print, and her artwork is carried in more than 10 shops throughout Colorado Springs.
Through Joy and Light Event Arts, Lori brings her artistic skill into live events, offering welcoming watercolor gatherings that are relaxed, creative, and engaging.
